When you order a domain name from us we register it with the relevant registrar.
Our domain name fees cover the cost of registration which we pay to the registrar, plus a small charge for domain name hosting.
When you place your order the domain name is submitted for registration, this process takes around 48 hours before the domain is active.
You must supply your full details for domain registration, we will register you as the domain owner.
If you wish to transfer your domain name or cancel the registration then you must let us know in good time.
Domains are automatically renewed unless you inform us that you wish to cancel beforehand.

If you manage your own DNS records because you use your own mail server, or you have several 'zones' or subdomains with different hosts you can still use our web hosting.
Just contact us and we will provide the IP address of your webserver so you can set up an 'A' record to connect your domain to our servers.

What is the difference between domain hosting and website hosting? |

There are basically three elements to a website setup:
1> Domain name registration : This makes sure that you 'own' the unique domain name itself
2> Domain name hosting : This is the server on which the DNS information for the domain resides
3> Website hosting : This is the server on which the files that make up a site are stored and served
You can change which website host your domain points to by specifying different namesevers. You need to do this to make use of our E-mail and website services.
If you buy a domain through us we look after all three services, if you buy elsewhere and use our hosting by modifying your nameserver records we only manage number 3.
1 & 2 are covered by our domain registration fee.
