We don't impose any restrictions on using advertising programs such as Google Adsense on your website or similar pay-per-click services.
You may use your site for any legitimate business activities/revenue generation as long as you break no laws and abide by our terms and conditions.

Once the domain has been registered it usually takes 48 hours (but can take up to 72) to propogate around the worlds DNS servers. If you are transferring a domain name, you may find that FTP and Website access are erratic for up to a week while DNS changes occur.

Once you publish your web files with FrontPage or by FTP, your web pages are updated immediately (since they are written to a physical disk).
If you can't see the changes straight away this could be for a number of reasons:
1> You need to refresh Internet Explorer
Click F5, or the 'Refresh' button
2> Your ISP use a proxy server which caches web pages to improve performance.
This relies on your ISP's proxy server settings. You can sometimes bypass the proxy server by changing the settings in Internet Explorer: Tools>Internet Options>Connection> Select your connection and click 'Properties' untick the 'Use Proxy Server' box.
PLEASE NOTE: Changing proxy settings may stop your Internet connection from working, make a note of ALL settings before you do this.

Betterhosts maintain a very high ratio of bandwidth per customer and plenty of disk space.
We offer a flexible approach to bandwidth and diskspace usage, the figures quoted are only guidelines, however, if a single customer is deemed to be monopolising resources we reserve the right to restrict use if other sites are affected.
